Sunday Worship
10am- We would love to have you join us for worship and a message from our pastor.
Sunday School Community Groups
9am- We have Sunday School Community Groups for all ages. This is the best way to get to know our church and and grow in your faith.
5:30pm- We have a 20's- to early 30's group that meets for bible-study and fellowship.
Wednesday- The Pause
11am- We have a discussion based bible study with a light lunch afterwards.
6:30pm- We have bible studies for all ages.
Hurley Staff
The staff and leadership here at Hurley is comprised of men and women who love, care and pray for every single person in the church. Lance Sudduth
Pastor
I have been the pastor of Hurley Baptist for the last 4 1/2 years. I have a wife, Sarah, who is a 3rd grade school teacher and three amazing boys Caleb (15), Micah (13), and Asher (9). They are all my heart and soul. I grew up in Jackson, MS and moved down here in August of 2010 to serve as Minister of Students and Education at Barton Baptist for 10 years. I have a Masters of Divinity for New Orleans Baptist Seminary and a BA from Wesley College in Florence, MS. I grew up a MS State sports fan and love to lift weights and read in my spare time.
My life verse has always been James 1:19 "Know this, my beloved brothers: let everyone be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to anger." My prayer is for my heart to stay in tune with Lord and for Jesus to be made famous in all things of my life.
Cole Ainsworth
Student Pastor
I am 26 years old, and live in George County. I am happily married to my beautiful wife, Haley for two years. I have a heart for lost souls. A motto I heard a long time ago that stuck with me is we catch them and He cleans them. It means we catch lost souls and Jesus does the cleaning. I want to continue letting Jesus take over my life and teach me how to love more deeply. A few things I like doing is my free time are: hunting, fishing, forging knives, being in nature, reading my Bible, and spending time with my wife and family.
Katie Tanner
Secretary
Family is and has always been a huge part of my life. I married the love of my life, Lee Tanner, and we have four beautiful children (Gavin, Whitley, Zachery, and Grace). They are our greatest blessings and bring us such joy, I LOVE JESUS! Growing up in church, being saved at the early age of 9, and having a large family that loves serving God has led us to HBC. I love serving at HBC with out now extended family.
